After 1.0.3.8 3G icon shows no coverage at all times, anyone else? [not relevant]

Is it just me or did someone else lose their 3G icon activity after the latest OS update? It doesn't matter if I'm online or not, the icon stays grey (no coverage).

Happened to me on Monday, I had "greyeyd out" connection strength, but still I had 3G data connection active. Right now, I have normal 3G signal strength icon - working normally i mean.

(I was reading facebook in our gym locker while waiting for some people. It's in a Cellar, so maybe there was a period of no-connection, and the icon never refreshed.)

Same here, "greyed out" all the time now after 1.0.3.8 update. I do have signal even though it tells me I don't.

Actually now that I re-started my phone, icon appears like it should be.

I'm loosing the connection to my SIM card from time to time, at least once a day. I wake up the device and notice it's asking me to enter the PIN. After entering it, I can see that I have had no signal at all, and the signal appears shortly after entering the PIN. This is quite severe, since I might miss some calls and not know about it. This started after the 1.0.3.8 update.

Hmm, now maybe 5 reboot later the icon display connection strength correctly, odd..
