[regression] Copy and paste broken

After upgrading to 1.0.3.8 I cannot copy and paste SMS text messages to Calendar app.

Long press a SMS message
Select "Copy"
Change to Calendar app
Select "Create new event"
Select a field like "Event name" or "Description"
No "paste" icon on virtual keyboard

I have used it multiple times before.

Update @anandrkris - I have started facing the issue of clipboard not get updated (not exactly same steps as above but random) after upgrade to 1.1.1.27

Update 2015-06-18 The issue seems to be resolved in 1.1.6., still keeping the question open just in case if someone still finds their clipboard stuck/not able to update.

I also can't confirm it. I did it as you described it and it works for me without problems with software version 1.0.3.8

I can confirm this. You need to add one step at the beginning to reproduce:

clean the clipboard by long pressing the clipboard icon

@nodevel I'm not sure I've got it... if you first empty the clipboard and then copy some text into it, you cannot paste it into a calendar event? I'm not seeing this happening. Could you please detail the steps to reproduce this?

It looks like I ran in some different kind of bug there. I tried to reproduce the bug with doing the steps, starting with emptying the clipboard, but it broke my clipboard completely - after emptying the clipboard, the icon disappeared for good. I wasn't able to copy anything until a reboot.

For me the clipboard sometimes gets stuck with an internet address and you can't replace it or purge it from the board. Oh, and it should handle more than just a single copy&paste op! A shortlist with the 5 latest would be nice.

Using Jolla 1.0.3.8 I stumble in the same problem. When selecting a text, autocopy is not copying to clipboard as it should. In fact when pressing clibboard icon it's pasting. So I went on and delete the clipboard by long pressing the clipboard icon and then choose "delete". Instead of cleaning the buffer, the clipboard icon dissapears and did'nt come back anymore. Even when I select a text, clipboard didn't show up again. I tested systemwide, clipboard is gone and there is no way to get it back.

Can Anybody reproduce this issue ?

Currently the only workaround is to reboot the phone.

A workaround for this bug that appears occasionally: write a couple of (random) characters and after that an empty space (in the same new line) -> in most cases(?) that makes the clipboard icon to appear so you can paste.
