Is connman going to be updated and when [released]
Because WLAN has issues. The version jolla uses is 1.15. The current version is 1.21
From the 1.20 releasenotes:
ConnMan 1.20 is a bugfix release fixing a wide variety of issues. Since a few of the discovered issues can potentially lead to a crash, we recommend upgrading.
connmanctl help
ends with:
Note: arguments and output are considered EXPERIMENTAL for now.
PyroDevels build instructions, change checkout to 1.21.
Lets do it togehter: connmand 1.21 works with this configuration: ./configure --prefix=/ --exec-prefix=/usr --enable-openvpn --enable-vpnc --enable-test --enable-nmcompat --enable-polkit --disable-dundee --disable-neard
Discovered downside so far: networks are not displayed in WLAN settings, only "Pull down to connect ot Internet". It discovers present WLANs. New connections can be made with connmanctl
One note to add: I don't have a data plan, data only over WLAN, so can't tell about that. The jolla displays 3G coverage.
You definitely need to set --enable-pacrunner that will enable automatic proxy settings, and you would need --enable-wispr for the hotspot access.

Upside was that the jolla kept responsive, but couldn't connect to the ISP WLAN. After the rebuild it was troublesome, but that is why I have an extra accesspoint... So far connman 1.21 improves stability.
