Does Sailfish OS / email-app support foward secrecy for secure pop3/imap email-exchange with provider-server?

This is highy recommended for secure exchange and avoiding man-in-the-middle attacs while using SSL internet services. E.g. german providers like posteo.de and Strato supports this, but the email-app was not able to sync with this service.

Is there a chance that the jolla will support it soon, as long as main german provider as gmx, web.de and Telekom are going for it this spring?
