Is this the intended behavior that you are unable to shut down the device by pressing the power button while you are on the unlocked (with double tap/ power button) lockscreen or is this a bug?!
If you press and hold the power button it will only lock the screen and not shut down the device (using 1.0.3.8).
Edit: I am not using the lockcode feature and never used it on my Jolla. :D

I believe the behavior as described in the question (without using lockcode feature) is intended and not a bug, since double tap/power button only wake up the device and do not unlock it. You have to scroll down from the lockscreen to the homescreen to unlock. To prevent shutting down the device by mistake while carrying in pocket, it should not shut down while it is locked (for both screen off and screen on showing the lockscreen).
Otherwise, if the power button in pocket is pressed by mistake multiple times, the first press will wake up the device and show the lockscreen and the second press could shut down the device.
@c.la That would mean the proximity sensor is always working, even when the device is in stand by mode. I don't know whether this is a bit too much power consuming. At the moment my device wakes up when proximity sensor is covered and I press power button (1.0.3.8 running).

To my mind this behavior is plausible, since otherwise it could happen that the device shuts down when pressing power button in pocket by mistake.
szobi ( 2014-02-28 13:16:33 +0200 )editI believe Alex was talking about after unlocking. I've noticed the same thing - unlock device, can't power off the device. You must first scroll down one page before being able to shutdown the device through holding down the power button.

szobi ( 2014-02-28 14:59:48 +0200 )editNo, it would not if the device is locked. Screen turned on does not equal device being unlocked. You need to enter the lock code first. If you're not using the lock code, well, then it's a different matter.
