Service provider told what they see from their call logs. It turned out if dialled a number containing asterisk, then only that portion of number is sent to provider which precedes an asterisk. For example if I dial 123*456, then the service provider would see only 123. Hence not possible to call certain numbers.

Note that this ticket is continuation from here. There were/are two bugs that are similar. One was related with hash-code which was fixed in 1.0.4.20, this bug is related to asterisk-code. Here suggested to open separate ticket for that.

Got a bit further with this. ssh to phone (enable devel mode) and as root (devel-su) execute following: /system/bin/logcat -b radio | grep 'first bit of failing number' ... I handed over my portion of log to Jolla.

Tere! Thank you for reporting this. The feature you are describing is related to Called Party Subaddress (3GPP 24.008 10.5.4.8 if you're interested in details) handling, which Estonian service providers expect to be handled a bit differently than currently on Jolla. Good news is, according to Jolla they are already aware of this issue and a solution is scheduled to be released in one of the upcoming software version updates (not yet in https://together.jolla.com/question/38508/release-notes-software-version-10516-paarlampi).
