When I tap on the "Missed calendar alarm" event in the event view nothing happens besides clearing that event. I expect to be taken to the event, for which I missed the alarm.

Absolutely, that is the only logical option.

I also have this bug. I would expect it to take me to the event, but it does nothing.

Happend to me, too.

a) I did not have an event in the calendar b) Jolla phone claimed I did c) tapping in the notification area did nothing d) calendar for today was empty (as expected)

While I was in the calendar, I also noted some UI glitches, which I can't show right now because no images allowed in comments...

I've experienced this bug several times. Hope it gets fixed soon.

@Mohjive already suggested in his question: If there is one missed calendar event, tapping it, should open the calendar app, showing the detail view of this missed event.

But there is also a possibility that you might might miss more than one event. In this case, jolla (version 1.0.8.21, Tahkalampi) shows something like:

2 missed calendar alarms

In this case, tapping this notification item, should show a popup listing each single missed calendar alarm (At the moment, you don't even know in such a case, which alarms you missed!). If there are more than e.g. 10, the list should be reduced to 9, showing a "..." item at the end. Tapping one of those listed missed events, should do:

  • open the calendar app
  • show the details view of this missed event (see "single event" use case above)
  • remove this one single event from the missed events list in the notifications screen (all other missed calendar events remain in the notifications screen, waiting to be inspected separately)

Great, thanks for the hint! I can confirm in 1.1.1.27 two improvements with missed calendar events:

  1. the name of the event is shown in the notifications view
  2. tapping the notification item opens the calendar app, showing the corresponding event

(I have not tested "missed multiple events", yet.)

Thanks @jolla for the fix!

Not completely fixed in 1.1.1.27:

As noted in comment 76368, the problem fixed for single events, missed. Thanks alot for it!

But, I just tested version 1.1.1.27 Vaarainjärvi with "multiple events missed": In this case, the problem still exists.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. lets say its 17:00 o'clock
  2. create two events:
    1. event A (start at 17:05, remind at time of event)
    2. event B (start at 17:07, remind at time of event)
  3. let time pass until 17:18, the jolla phone will remind 6 times, don't touch it in this time
  4. at 17:18 open the notification dialog and you will see:

Notification Text:

2 missed calendar alarms

Note: The jolla phone does not tell you the name of those two events.

Tapping on this notification, opens the calendar app and jumps to the latter event. So this is better than before, but the user does not know, what the other missed event was.

So, please have a look at my other answer, suggesting a way how this problem could be solved.

But thanks for the single-event-fix, so far. I guess this happens way more often, than two or more missed events.

Yes but that was not the point of this request, maybe you should have opened an other one for your scenario and let this one closed.

@Sthocs, I thought about this, too. What I am requesting at the moment is "split notification of multiple calendar alarms apart". This is a little different to the name of the current question.

But on the other hand: The current fix to give calendar alarm notifications an action is wrong implemented in the case of a "multiple alarm notification". So, I am requesting a fix for this fix. And so I think, this point can stay here.

Let's wait for some more voices / opinions.
