Not completely fixed in 1.1.1.27:
As noted in comment 76368, the problem fixed for single events, missed. Thanks alot for it!
But, I just tested version 1.1.1.27 Vaarainjärvi with "multiple events missed": In this case, the problem still exists.
Steps to reproduce:
- lets say its 17:00 o'clock
- create two events:
- event A (start at 17:05, remind at time of event)
- event B (start at 17:07, remind at time of event)
- let time pass until 17:18, the jolla phone will remind 6 times, don't touch it in this time
- at 17:18 open the notification dialog and you will see:
Notification Text:
2 missed calendar alarms
Note: The jolla phone does not tell you the name of those two events.
Tapping on this notification, opens the calendar app and jumps to the latter event. So this is better than before, but the user does not know, what the other missed event was.
So, please have a look at my other answer, suggesting a way how this problem could be solved.
But thanks for the single-event-fix, so far. I guess this happens way more often, than two or more missed events.
Absolutely, that is the only logical option.

Neo ( 2014-04-08 22:16:36 +0200 )editHappend to me, too.
a) I did not have an event in the calendar b) Jolla phone claimed I did c) tapping in the notification area did nothing d) calendar for today was empty (as expected)
While I was in the calendar, I also noted some UI glitches, which I can't show right now because no images allowed in comments...
