downmix to mono?

Hi, im wondering if the sound from the internal speaker is downmixed to mono or wether one of the two stereo channels is used? even though nowadays this is not used alot like twenty years ago when sound was beeing moved from one channel to the other or was firmly divided upon them, but if only one channel is beeing output, which i think is the case on the jolla, it would greatly enhance the sound experience if stereo was downmixed to mono if the internal speaker is used.
