'Connect to internet' shortcut [duplicate]
settings > system > WLAN > [pulley menu] > connect to internet
i end up doing this very often. (i dont know if this is a redundant step instead of waiting for it to connect automatically)
so can this be made available as a favoritable shortcut?
I believe, this is superfluous: Just tap the WiFi/WLAN symbol on Settings and it will connect.

Still, a shortcut shouldn't be needed. The phone should just connect automatically, and instantly.
I have a similar issue with Bluetooth in the car. I have to connect the device manually to the car, even if it is set to autoconnect.

At work, I have to move around between different networks. On Maemo there was an option to set the wlan 'search interval'. I agree a separate shortcut is a bit superflous; so if the same network selection dialog popped while pressing the wifi toggle button itself, that would work too.

But actually I think the notification area would be great to display the Internet connection status and could also allow direct access to the settings.
