[Bug] Android apps lose GPS fix when in background since 1.0.7
Since the update to 1.0.7 GPS for Android apps only works, when they are "active". As soon as you swipe from the side or lock the device, the GPS is lost. I tried rebooting and reinstalling those apps, but it did not help.
GPS is found again, when you go back to the app, but this does not help for e.g. tracking.
Seconded, very annoying bug! I'm using gps tracker as cyclometer daily. If anyone has idea how to fix this, I'd like to know.
jsievikorte ( 2014-06-11 19:06:16 +0200 )editjust runned into this problem today. Dunno what android tracking apps you are using, possibly Endomondo? Theres this native tracking app MeeRun in the Warehause/openrepos, and it seems to work great, just tried it. And you can export the tracks in .gpx, and then import to endomondo service if thats what you are using
Whippler ( 2014-06-11 20:28:46 +0200 )editThanks. Have been using endomondo, yes. Just now installed Meerun, will likely use that until this is fixed (or if it's better, then I'll stick with it :)

vode ( 2014-06-11 22:45:55 +0200 )editAs a workaround, you can run a native sailfish app using GPS in the background.
