Duplicate phone numbers with Bluetooth PBAP

Phone numbers are duplicated in the car's address book after synchronizing with Jolla. Tested with a VW Golf 7. I can't say whether the issue comes from the car or the phone.

I would suggest re-pairing the phone with the carkit to see if it fixes the issue.

I re-paired my phone this morning with my Ford Sync (European version) and had exactly the same issue. The car's phonebook was empty before syncing. After syncing I checked my girlfriends contact and there was her mobile phone number listed twice. I thought, that this bug is caused from Ford Sync, but now as I read this, I think it is a bug on Jolla side.

I had the same experience (double, even triple) numbers in the car (Volvo V70).

Volvo S60 MY14, deleted all other pairs except Jolla before repairing, no duplicates shown. But still missing MAP. Go and give it votes: https://together.jolla.com/question/19200/request-map-bluetooth-profile/

Okay, I think I found the actual "bug" and the workaround for this.

I noticed, that not all phone numbers had duplicates, so I checked this on 2-3 contacts and noticed, that all numbers that had a classification AND a type, where duplicated during sync. E.g. my girlfriends mobile number is classified as "private" and the type is "mobile". Numbers that have either a classification OR a type has a single entry only. I removed the classification of my GFs number and then the duplicate got deleted (after I cleared and re-synced phone book again).

Could you test if this is the case for you, too? If so, then Jolla could hopefully fix this behavior.
