How to set a picture from a gallery as a simple wallpaper?

No ambience, just a picture, and so that it is not "zoomed" as ambience automatically seems to put it. I want to see the whole picture, stretched bigger or smaller if needed. Or how to scale or stretch a picture in ambience so, that it shows 100% and not just a narrow part of it?

There is an edit function in the pulley menu. Maybe there should be a 9:16 ratio for cropping an image to fit the screen?

I don't think there is currently a way to have a static wallpaper (in the sense that it doesn't move when you swipe up and down the screen), so you could change this to a feature request.

The concept of Ambiences does not allow for simple wallpapers: You cannot have both at the same time. What you may request is a tool to convert any bitmap into a bitmap of the size required for Ambience images – not only by cropping but also by compressing/stretching the bitmap. For the desktop PC there are several programs being able to do so, I also expect that there are plenty of apps for Android.
