Although Sailfish is predominantly independent from Google, the integration of Google Now or another personal assistant is very important in the mobile landscape these days. If you could either: a) let us install Google Now (via partnership with Google) or b) initiate an open source project for a personal assistant for Sailfish.

Thanks!

There is a project in development called Saera that does/will do exactly what you want.

@ApB It's actually different, in that it doesn't transmit your data to a privacy-encumbered service. Heck, it simply doesn't transmit your data at all.

I've making tests to build pocketsphinx in sailfish with good results,, I was thinking in building something like project Jasper (for raspberry pi), but, actually i have to pospone the tests because of lack of time,, If you are interested and are a developer, let me know =)

Interesting. I can indeed install the software, but can't use it. When I launch the app, it tells me I need to update the Google Play-services.
