Hi, I have problems using my Jolla with the MiTone MITSP70. It's a small bluetooth travel speaker.

I can connect to the MITSP70 OK, but usually the volume is very low, such that you can just about hear it when both the phone volume and the speaker volume are at their highest settings.

I don't have any apparent problems using Jolla with other bluetooth devices, or with another bluetooth speaker; nor do I have any problems using other devices (for example a Nexus 7) with the MITSP70.

I notice also that if I first connect the Nexus 7 to the MITSP70 (with which I get normal playback volumes), then disconnect, then connect the Jolla immediately afterwards, the sound from the Jolla is OK. But if I switch on the MITSP70 and connect the Jolla first, I experience these volume problems.

I realise the problem might lie with the speaker, not the Jolla, but I wonder if anyone has any suggestions as to what might be wrong here. I am about to send the same query to the MiTone people. Thanks.

I am running Sailfish 1.0.7.16

I experienced the very same behaviour with my Sony SRS-X5 once (wall plugged); it didn't go away by reconnecting again.

My impression was that the Jollas battery charge level made the difference, though this is plain speculation.

Update: I contacted MiTone, and they sent me a new bluetooth speaker. The new speaker is working fine with the Jolla. All is well. @marsch - I didn't notice any correlation with my battery charge level (either the battery level on the jolla or on the bluetooth speaker).
