I want to write few apps that will use Jolla's hardware such as GPS, Gyro, Compass, Camera, Accelerometer, Flash and etc. But I am having a hard time finding any documentation on it.

Could someone show me what to look for it?

I think you need to look at the Qt Mobility API: http://doc-snapshot.qt-project.org/qt-mobility/

Is the newer Qt going to continue to use the mobility API? I thought in Qt5 they were replaced by something else

That's true, in Qt5 it's called QtSensors. More info here: https://sailfishos.org/wiki/Porting/Harmattan

And here: http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.1/qtsensors/qtsensors-index.html

I had better luck with QtSensors. You need to install needed packages also on your SDK-platform.
