I have just done a factory reset on my jolla and then updated to 1.0.8.19.

The only thing I installed were default jolla apps (mail, maps etc.)

I activated developer mode and ssh. I entered a password and saved.

I try to connect with the following command to the IP address shown in the settings:

ssh nemo@192.168.1.199

and get

ssh: connect to host 192.168.1.199 port 22: Connection refused

The same happens when I randomly generate a ssh password in the settings.

The only other problem with ssh connection I found in other questions were caused by alternative sshd implementations, but I use the default. Before the factory reset the ssh connection worked without problem. I can ping the phone.

I had the same just recently. After I did a reboot of my Jolla, SSH login was possible. Be aware that the SSH Hostkey changes, so you will get a warning by your client.

Thanks, that fixed it. I thought i had already rebooted the phone once, but maybe ssh wasn't enabled then.

@Venty: hello Venty, it seems that i have the same issue here. could you explain with more details what you did? I mean, first one day you remark it didn't works with ssh in dev-mode. You'd decided to restart your device. Did you close the devel-mode 1st? or just restart it new directly? and then, you'd tried then to activate it again, after direct the start, that's right?

Did you remark until today what kind of manipulation could made this function out of order?
