Hello dear sailors and community.

I have faced this problem trying to connect my Jolla to laptop using MTP protocol. Kubuntu (the laptop's main OS) says: "No Storages found. Maybe you need to unlock your device?". And the similar thing is with all other PCs.

The same connection worked perfectly before. Rebooting of the phone does nothing. Reinstalling of packages associated with MTP has no effect too.

What can it be with my device? And how can it be fixed with no hard reset?

Thanks in advance. Kirill Chuvilin. MaemoWorld.ru

You most likely have some other process trying to access the device at the same time.

It will be pretty strange, because the same situations are at all the PCs that I have tried.

You cant access the storage when in lockscreen. You have to unlock the phone by going to multitasking screen to allow a mtp connection. This seems to have been implemented in a update, as it hasnt always been this way.

Oh yes you need to unlock the phone first. It tells you actually if you have the devicelock on (but since the screen only lights up when the charging banner comes you can easily miss it) @XiliX : It has always done so (when the devicelock is on). But it does not disconnect if you connected your phone while unlocked.

It doesn't work for me :(

I have positive expierence with connecting the device to PC via MTP since the last update. But something happened, and now the connection does not work at all.
