Bug: Call switching on bluetooth
Hi,
this happened a couple of times now and is reproducable. The reason I reported it not earlier is just that such a situation doesn't happen too often ;)
When I'm connected to my bluetooth handsfree system and i receive a second call and opt to switch from the active to the new call, the phone switches to earpiece instead of routing audio via bluetooth... i then have to click on the icon to get it back...
seems to be closely related to this finding: https://together.jolla.com/question/20965/bug-handsfree-call-switch-to-normal-while-receiving-a-second-call/
Hi,
I have not seen this myself yet during testing but I'll try harder reproducing it. Some questions to clarify the details:
- which Bluetooth device are you using?
- by "switching calls" do you mean you hang up the 1st call and answer the 2nd, or that you put the 1st call on hold while answering the 2nd?
- do you do that from the BT device's UI or from the phone's UI? If from the BT device's UI, please describe how.
- does this occur when both calls are incoming or also when the first call was outgoing?

I'm using the built in bluetooth system of my Ford Focus, the one that isn't Sync (although I might be able to test a Sync-equipped system as well). PBAP works well and I can scroll through call lists and phonebook as well as start and answer calls.
As for switching: When a 2nd call comes in my car gives me 2 possibilities. Either cancel the 2nd (new incoming) call or hang up the 1st and switch to the 2nd. So it is basically replacing that call.
So for that 3rd question - it is from the cars UI via that button "Replace".
Not sure about the 4th question... never thought about that but will check this weekend...
