I received a .rtf text file via e-mail and opened this attachment. The Documents App opened as expected but I got a weird error message which looks like a Windows 95 window stating that it's an invalid file format (see screenshot). After opening this file the documents app and this error-window will crash but sometimes the documents app will just show the spinning loading circle and the error window. [Offtopic: I also remember a thread where a Nokia N9 user got a similar error message on MeeGo] So the questions are:

  1. Why doesn't this error message looks 'Sailfishy'?
  2. Why does the native Documents App not support common *.rtf-files and let the Documents App crash (sometimes) while trying to open such a file?
  3. Will Sailfish OS support *.rtf-files (and other) in future? :)

Error message

Also pls vote here for .txt-file support.

The "non-native" error message has been reported earlier: https://together.jolla.com/question/44849/bug-documents-app-error-message/ (different issue otherwise though, just for reference).
