BUG: show event does not work
Hi there,
a few moments ago there came an unknown sound from the Jolla device and it showed the upcoming birthday of one of my contacts. This birthday is stored in the contacts data and not in the calendar. So far so good. There was a button called show event and I tapped it. The notification for the birthday vanished and the lock screen appeared. That's all. Then I swiped to the Launcher and there was a cover showing a small version of the event. So somehow the event is shown but I am not transported from the button/action to the running app. As I entered the app there was an error message telling me something about can not connect to the calendar. To which calendar? On the device? In the internet? Why at all? The event is stored with the contacts. Yes, I have a Google mail account but it's configured as regular pure IMAP account because I do not want my contacts and/or events to propagate to Google.
Just a note: No need to be "afraid" of Your contacts/events propagating to Google, since AFAIK, the sync is only one-way (Google->Jolla) so far... ;)
Actually, I believe I read somewhere that the contacts are only synced FROM Google once (when setting up the account), but I'm not sure about that.

hardcodes.de ( 2014-01-03 21:17:57 +0200 )editI think the real problem here is the fact that when you select show event the calendar should get started and be shown on the foreground - not just as a running app in the background waiting for you to bring it to the foreground.
