Hello, I have 3 issues, can't seem to get a definitive answer searching.

  1. I have a waiting update, (1.0.8.21) I click the notification, it just takes me into settings, no download prompt etc so I am stuck and can neither download or install.

  2. Can't enable developer mode, after accepting, progress indicator sticks at 1/4 way, sometimes I get -

  3. couldn't install store-developer-mode or something similar, just tried several times to replicate the message but it won't now, after doing it several times this afternoon. . . . . .

version 1.0.8.19 / tried rebooting/battery pulls/taunting and harsh language, none of which had the desired effect. : |

Hi, is this still valid for Update 10?

Hi, and welcome along.

  1. Tapping the update notification should take you to:

    • After 1.0.7 Settings > System > Sailfish OS update
    • Before 1.0.7 Settings > System > System Info
    • In both, there's a pulley menu on top. Use a slow pull gesture to find the options for the update.
    • Updating requires downloading files from Jolla Store, and that requires an active Jolla account.
  2. Developer mode also requires files to be downloaded from Jolla Store, and that requires an active Jolla account. When you have one, you should be able to activate the developer mode from Settings > System > Developer Mode

Both of your problems might relate to a missing Jolla account - however, in future, please write one separate questions for each issue :) Hope this was helpful

Hello and thanks for the reply but I have no pulley menu that I can access and I already have a Jolla account.

"Tapping the update notification should take you to:

After 1.0.7 Settings > System > Sailfish OS update "

This does not happen as stated above.

" In both, there's a pulley menu on top. "

There isn't. . . . . : | I'm not getting one.

Can you go to Settings > System > Sailfish OS update at all?

NO - this is exactly what I've been saying - I can't update it - I don't have any pulley menus, I do have a Jolla account - I Can't enable developer mode either - I've explained what I've tried to do and how I've done it in the OP - and at this point all I can see to try is a reset but I really didn't want to do that having got it pretty much how I want it, set up all my emails and app's, it'd take me a day to re-do everything I'm loathe to do that really, is there not a terminal hack to get round this ?????

Hmm... Having no pulley menus at all sounds like an issue which might require a reset after all. When was the last time you've seen a pulley menu (e.g. on the lock screen?)

I have pulley menus otherwise, just not for the update, lock screen takes me to my shortcuts just fine.
