Given that there is no directory support in the default player, ID3 2.3 tags should work properly if that it the main mechanism for categorizing them (artists/albums). Most of my music is in FLAC format. As of now it lists music by filenames, most of my filenames start with the track number so I have to use search to find what I want.

I have all of my MP3 files stored on an SD card formatted with the Ext4, and all of the ID3 tags are read correctly by the "Media" application. Are you experiencing this problem only with the FLAC files? Do all of your FLAC files have this problem, or only some of them? Are the ID3 tags read correctly if the same files are moved from the SD card to the internal storage?

My SD card is a 64GB Sandisk Ultra formatted FAT32.

I think tags worked fine when I had tracks in internal storage.
