Aptoide and 1Mobile market do not work- (they used to work- stopped after previous update) have re-downloaded both to no avail Both keep stating (no connection - please check)

However F-droid works perfectly - (woldn't be an issue but F-Droid apps are limited) Am I missing something obvious??

Cheers !

One comment from there to try: "If you have developer mode enabled, what happens if you try to install the downloaded files using apkd-install?"

If you are planning to make a factory reset, you could try first to uninstall Android Support and re-install it after a reboot.

Beware when you do this all data from your android applications re lost.

Yep all enabled. apkd files will not install except via F-droid aptoide yandex and 1 mobile all “check connection” F-droid works like a charm....which has thrown me off a little. suppose factory reset it then.
