Hi there,

I'm desperately fighting to get mobile data. Since the mobile data switcher is always greyed out, I can't even long press to edit the settings (tried lots of tricks in other posts, from reboot to factory reset... nothing works).

So my question is : where can I find the file which contains the mobile data settings ? If I edit it manually, maybe I could get some data...

Thanks a lot for your help !

There is a thread already about this issue: https://together.jolla.com/question/51128/mobile-data-switcher-grey-out/ All that you need is explained there.

Yes I've seen this thread but there is no such directory on my Jolla phone (when I browse with "file browser" app from Jolla store). Did the last update change the location of the file ? Or am I missing something ?

Where is your path ending? You should be able to get to /var/lib/ofono/ with browser from store. Of course you have to swipe from left to right to get deeper then /home directory. And as you are asking about file with settings - it is exactly this file, I do not get your question then. In any case - use the initial question for discussion, no need to spawn a number of identical threads.

Thanks so much for helping me. In /ofono/ I have 2 directories named with numbers (20823000...) that I can't open ("no permission to read"), and one file : "rilmodem".

You need root right to open these directories. Use terminal application and developer mode.

Sorry about that. Want me to switch now to the other thread ?
