New maps overlays in 1.1.0.38/39 - Howto? [answered]

Maybe I missed something, but I can't see any difference in Jollas native Maps app, that is supposed to have some improvements in 1.1.0.38/39, like overlays (satellite) and others.

Could someone please point me to where or how to activate the new functionality? All I can see in the Jolla store is this:

Version: 1.0.3
Installed: 1.0.13
Updated: 14:52, 16/07/2014

which makes me think that it might not be the new announced version. Many thanks for any help or clarification.

Open Maps Application
Swipe to the left
Tap once in the middle of the screen (on the map)
Now you can see 3 newly appeared options/symbols at the bottom of the screen where you are able to chnage between daylight/night-mode, satellite/public transport/walker/street map and enabling/disabling your favorite places.

Thank you, but well... maybe it's late or I have to be really stupid, but when I tap once in the middle of the map screen (of course in the full screen map view, after having swiped left), I only get the upper screen half with the options for "Directions" and "What's near". Same behavior as before the upgrade.Do you have the version 1.0.13 of the maps app too? Any other hint?

Well I have the maps version 1.0.22.3 installed on my Jolla. I had to update this version manually via the Jolla store after the Uitukka update. Are you really running Uitukka and you don't have any updates available?

Correct! I upgraded and I confirm I do have Uitukka 1.1.0.39 installed (System -> Info -> About product). Nevertheless, in the Jolla store my Maps app shows installed version 1.0.13, as stated above. And there is no update available. I even did an UNinstall followed by an Install - no difference, still version 1.0.13. :-(

I'll open a new question about this store issue.

After a while, I re-did an uninstall and fresh install of Jollas Maps app, and there it was... the new version 1.0.22.3. And the new features ready to use (sadly, the satellite overlay doesn't seem to display the street names when zooming in, but maybe this will be added in a further release). Thanks a lot again!

I have the same problem. So, why doesn't Jolla App Store show the update for Maps ??
