Help NielDK develop for Sailfish (Jolla Tablet & phone)

This post is a wiki. Anyone with karma >75 is welcome to improve it.
I started a fundraiser to better support Jolla and SailfishOS community members. I am not an avid GUI programmer, but I did contribute already with quite a few packages, which many have used with joy. While I believe in all to be completely free to use in any way. I do need YOUR support. I have a few target projects, besides keeping my packages up-to-date. As excersize for GUI development, I want to create a better tor application, using a proper front-end, with coverpage showing statistics and current state (I hope fx. network traffic can be included like a graph). I also, for this, want to further develop that package to enable system-wide tor proxy. But, one of the main priorities, will be a flashable recovery image. I have already been working on this, but, I need more devices (I will most likely brick at least one during trying). For this. I will also need a new PC for development (currently I have none, but been using mer project pages to build packages).

On TMO rcoliste starte, on his own initiative, to support my work, a thread. And you will also find updates, and information on there: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=94203
Thanks to those of you who have already contributed.
Best Niel
Hi Neil, TOR and flashable recovery image are a great target to aim for. Thanks for all your previous work and hope this gets supported by by the Jolla users. Richard

Also, giving a bit more insight on your main target would be nice. Requesting other ways of support than monetary, here on TJC, would make your endeavour even nicer :)
eric ( 2014-11-25 10:00:54 +0200 )editAbsolutely. I already had support from Solbrit on prey (which I also want to develop further, to be more complete). I can also learn, from other developers. No doubt about it. It is not that I am not fond of GUI development, but I need to learn a bit more for that. And tor is a nice target for learning - also with help from other developers.
