I have installed jolla-fileman (the "Files" app) via pkcon install jolla-fileman, but it seems that it doesn't work any more with Sailfish OS 1.1.0.39. All it shows is a white screen and also the app cover is just white.
The package version is jolla-fileman-0.1.11-10.2.1.jolla.noarch

fileman was not ever supported, it was a proof of concept for cutes and currently has lowest priority: there are native file managers for Sailfish in the Store.
can anyone give the best native file manager app name

Just for those of us who sat waiting for the Jolla-fileman to be developed rather than use an application coded outside of Jolla only to find it broke once 1.1.0.39 was loaded. (and that my comment on a 1.1.0.39 feedback page stating this bug isn't searchable on this site)

I think you'll be better of with one of the filemanagers on the store.
