Reasons to choose Windows 10 or Jolla? [answered]

We're here because we want and/or own a phone with Sailfish OS. This question is obsolete to be questioned here.

just having sailfishOS is no selling point. Person asking above has a good point. Jolla / Sailfish needs to be able to justify why to select it above anything that is on market. From consumer benefit point of view.

There are well known reasons such as privacy, gesture based UI, openness, together.jolla.com, Finnish OS, the list can be continued endlessly... What is Windows 10's selling point? An OS that's behind in time and gaining no traction for over 4 years even though it is made and sold by a multi multi multi billion dollar global company and has in fact fewer apps than SailfishOS can make use of. Sure, it's Android apps... but dozens of millions buy Android devices because of those apps. And we're the lucky ones that can make use of about all of them except a few ones without having to use a privacy infringing operating system coming from the USA. There's no justification needed. SailfishOS is a convincing piece of software once you make people having their hands on it for a while. What is jolla's main problem? You just can't go in a shop, try it and buy it. You still have to order one from jolla.com and the majority of countries is still excluded. There are US-Americans that would love to buy one, but it's too complicated for them to get one. I know what I'm talking about because I know how you feel if you want to order something abroad and realize they don't ship it to your country.

Because you want full Micro SDXC cross device compatibility - o wait Jolla has even that :D 1.5 Million! Next try: Using Android applications without Google play framework, to eventually see them one by one replaced by more elegant Sailfish native versions.

For reason of not using MS especially because you don't want to move to a situation where one company overviews your email, websearches, contacts including mobile numbers, potentially listens to your voice com (skype) , knows which game you play and how (xbox life etc) and all that with software that aggressively contacts a myriad of servers in Redmond, by Akamai, etc.. The number of connections a Windows 8 tries to make behind a users back is just astonishing. You can spend a day killing all that without compromising vital OS functionality. If you don't believe it, try the trial of Jetico Firewall, another excellent Finish software product. If that is not a reason enough for you, then do it for others whom cherish some privacy and who's data you are putting into MS' ever growing tentacles for being datamined, crosslinked and turned into a product.

Jolla, save us and seriously, get the Europe back on the map in terms of operating system development!

Because you want full Micro SDXC cross device compatibility - o wait Jolla has even that Not anymore. One could go for Windows Phone to make things easy between devices if you are commited to Windows enviroment on your desktops etc and Windows Phone probably can save camera pictures to memorycard which Jolla can't do atm.
