I have connected both Sony SBH50 and Jaybird BlueBuds X and it works fine. Volume control works but Pause, Bwd and Fwd buttons doesn't respond. Pausing music means that I have to pick up the phone and pause via music player (Spotify)

I'm using the android version of spotify. I use the same headphones and the same spotify client on my Nexus 5 without problems. The BlueBuds X gave me connection problems with my Nokia N9.
I will try another spotify client and see how that will work.
The version I posted here should support bluetooth buttons.

Are you using CuteSpotify or the android-version? I too have SBH50 and have had some issues with pause/skip on standard mediaplayer. Sabas works fully.
