Not directly a question, but maybe a hint - not sure if substantial or not...

Before upgrading to 1.1.1.27 I have had two working mail-accounts for different servers. After the upgrade one of them failed permanently. I deleted this account and tried to process a new setup, but failed again and again.

After a couple of tries and some mess with the logfile I became skeptical of the (once automatically generated) passphrase. Two characters were \" (combination of backslash and double quote). So I changed the passphrase to an alpahanumerical version, tried to setup the mail account again and had success on the first try. Working fine now.

So - I wonder if the backslash is working as a masking escape character? But why was it working with backslash until 1.0.8?

Michael

@Robomike - Can you still reproduce using Fixed in 1.1.2 / Yliaavanlampi ? if so let me know the account type (IMAP/POP/Exchange)

I tried to verify: 1) made a new account on my webspace, 2) made simple password 3) made accounts on desktop, on my Jolla with 1.1.2 and on my Backup-Jolla with still 1.1.1.27. All working fine. 4.) changed the pass to something ending with "(" (backslash / left bracket) 5) Tested: Desktop working, Jolla with Yliaavanlampi working, Jolla with previous system NOT working.

So I can confirm that this bug is fixed in 1.1.2 Yliaavanlampi.

Additional: I can't write the combination "backslash left bracket" here. The board kills it.
