[bug] Documents Application becomes unresponsive when trying to open Office 2013 .docx/.xlsx/.pptx
Steps to reproduce
When trying to open .docx/.xlsx/.pptx file, the app becomes unresponsive and no matter how many times you hit "Wait to become responsive" it remains like that and you have to hit "Close" in order to close Documents app.
OS version
SailfishOS 1.0.8.21
This is really annoying. Isn't anyone else experiencing it? I also get a crash when opening .txt from file browser.
I have a problem opening .docx files. The documents app just crashes when trying to open the file. The file works fine in libre office on OSX. Also using 1.0.2.5

2Ti ( 2014-01-06 18:12:32 +0200 )editIs it possible for you to make this file available to us? pptx/docx are generally supported, however, the Microsoft specifications for those file formats are extremely complex, contain lot's of corner cases, and not all documents out there even conform to the specifications -> we'd need access to the file to see what exactly is going wrong in your case.
We are using Calligra (http://www.calligra.org/) as backend for our Office viewer, so files which can be opened in Calligra should usually work on our device as well, with some exceptions for very complex documents requiring huge amounts of memory to parse.
Aard ( 2014-01-31 18:21:09 +0200 )edit@Aard It is possible. How would I do that though? I can only attach a picture to a post here.
