After Update 1.1.2.16 failed Simcard not recognized and can't activate wlan
Well the title sums it up: I tried to update my Jolla and it failed with the message "try again later". However that's not possible now - since neither the simcards gets recognized anymore, nor can the wifi be activated.
Anyone got an idea how this could be fixed at all??
edit: words edit2: I don't know if it changes anything, however it was unexpected for me at least: A wild guess was, that somehow the network interfaces are in DOWN state und unable to be set to UP state. However when inspecting the list I was really confused about the interfaces names, because there were 8 of them, all labeled with "rmnet<x>" with <x> being in range(0,7)</x></x>
Update 1.1.2.17? do you mean 1.1.2.16? I am running upgrade 1.1.2.16 for a week now without problems. I never had a problem with sim card, bear in mind I do not swap sim, and actually wlan with the latest version is a lot better than previous releases.

kylihars ( 2015-03-02 21:13:20 +0200 )editUnfortunately, I've got the same thing:
connected charger (even though battery was almost full)
downloaded update
installed update
got "Sailfish OS couldn't be updated, try again later. Device will now reboot." (or however the wording was), and a button to press to reboot
after reboot, I did not get the input SIM PIN screen, and connecting to WLAN doesn't work:
"Network is not available. Please restart device." - but rebooting doesn't help
(I've got a perfectly fine wlan working just next to it)
I am one of The First One's, but I haven't opted-in for early updates.
I'm presently still on 1.1.1.27 Vaarainjärvi, memory usage is 6.3 GB out of 13.7 GB so space shouldn't be an issue, and I have no openrepos apps installed (or un-installed).
I haven't fiddled in the terminal either.
Should I wait for a solution (for how long?), or should I do an annoying (have refrained from doing one this far, and would prefer not having to be "forced" to try one now) factory reset?
phle ( 2015-03-02 22:23:09 +0200 )editI did a factory reset and managed to upgrade, as I needed a working phone for tomorrow. Problem is, I lost my calendar as it is not backed up by the Jolla backups. https://together.jolla.com/question/84516/add-calendar-to-jolla-backup/
