[Feature request] Pulley menu always accessible even in long lists [duplicate]
I see here and from the usual behaviour of the GUI that the pulley menu is not always really useful. Especially when dealing with long lists where you have to scroll to get to a certain information (file, element..) it is afterwards hard to use the pulley menu. Some apps implement a short-cut that allows me to jump to the top so I can use the top pulley others allow me to use the lower and from there jump to the top. In my opinion this is unnecessary interactivity.
Can not we make the pulley menu (both lower and upper) always available? In my idea this could be achieved by declaring, for example, the top and bottom 10% of the screen as pulley zone so we can always access it.
I agree. The current solution of having two jump buttons on the right edge of the screen (allowing to jump to the top/bottom of the list) seems nothing more than a kludge to me. Especially considering that devs will (hopefully) replace them with a proper scroll bar at some point.
ScumCoder ( 2015-03-16 13:08:19 +0200 )editThat's a good idea but dividing screen on zones by % is not.

Though it's about gestures, but a simple gesture can be also used for pulleys.
Percentages were just an example, however it is solved would be feasible for me. It is more important to have this functionality in general
PatsJolla ( 2015-03-16 18:19:20 +0200 )editProblem is that if pulley would be accessible from any part of the page scrolling up/down would become impossible.
Odorobo ( 2015-03-16 18:22:52 +0200 )editAnd complex gestures sux (imho). The less you think about how to swipe to get what you need the better it is.
