Search by date in email app

Hi,

the email app offers an option "Sort by: Time" (which should be better named "Date"). This one displays emails in an ascending order, ie. oldest first.

This direction seems to be of very limited use (correct me if I'm wrong), in particular as supplying a start date is not possible.

The least senseless thing to do without a real search would be to sort downwards from the most recent conversations. Albeit, there's no way to invert the direction.

It would already add some value if you could implement a sort-by-most-recent-reception order, as long as there is no more elaborate search functionality.
