Hi, I waited now extra for the new release (1.1.4.29) till I talk about this bug. I hoped it was a strange combination on my phone, but I think now this is a real bug.

Here is the situation: I use 3 email accounts from the same provider. All 3 with IMAP integration. First is the most used, 2nd for shopping, 3rd for newsletters. So the 3rd is the least important. As soon as I set up the 3rd account I can initially get the in-box contents and then I get (forever) the error message "authentication failed" or "synchronization failed". The other two accounts work without problems with the exact same server settings. Encryption, Port, Protocols etc. it's all the same.

As soon as I de-activate one of the other accounts, the 3rd one is working normally again (?). When I switch the 3rd to POP in-box all 3 work at the same time.

What is wrong with using 3 as IMAP in-box accounts? Is there a restriction on Sailfish or maybe even at server side? Strangely Thunderbird on my PC has no problems with IMAP on these accounts, so I guess it is a client problem in Sailfish.

Does anybody have an idea?

Edit: Additional Info: Of course I tried to delete and re-establish the account but the behaviour keeps appearing every time. So I don't think it's just a configuration problem it must be sth. deeper.

@PatsJolla - No there's no limitations, could you please collect logs ?

in

/home/nemo/.config/QtProject/Messageserver.conf

enable file log and add a path for the log, like for example:

[FileLog]
Enabled=1
Path=/home/nemo/Documents/messageserver.log

Then restart the device or just restart messageserver5

systemctl --user stop messageserver5
systemctl --user start messageserver5

Reproduce the problem, send me the log file to mail-logs at jolla dot com. After that turn file log off again by setting "enabled" to 0.Thanks a lot!

Here is an update for those who are interested:

I got the answer that my account settings were somehow mixed (tried to use it as IMAP but was configured as POP).

So I had to delete the account and set it up again. But this time I chose manual setup at the bottom and typed the server adresses manually incl. the choice to go for imap. I think in the past I may have used the automatic setup (which creates a POP account) and then I changed the settings to IMAP which could have caused the mixing.

So for the ones who want to switch their account to IMAP better delete the POP and then set it up as IMAP again rather then changing the settings.

Thread can be closed in my opinion.
