My jolla is in a boot loop (showing jolla logo and then blank screen) so I tried the recovery mode.

I ran option 5 but it stops after printing

5) Try btrfs recovery if your device is in bootloop
6) Exit
Type the number of the desired action and press [Enter]:
5
Root mounted with recovery options

It does not seem to do do anything now. Also, I rebooted with no luck.

Thanks for any ideas.

update:

btrfs check --repair /dev/mmcblk0p28

does not help

After an upgrade or just at random? After an upgrade, I think, black screen is missing gui but the phone has actually booted, have you tried SSHing in? Might be a failed install/dependency-issue that needs to be resolved by hand. Would also be good to know some more detail about where you are at, release number etc

Just random. My phone was plugged in overnight and running when I went to sleep. In the morning it was off and I could not reboot (with and without power source)

I am on 1.1.4 / Äijänpäivänjärvi and I am not in the developer preview

Strangely when I came home from work the device booted again. I left it without charger and not in the boot loop. However it showed 0% battery. I rebooted several times now. I have no idea why this changed.
