Since the update to 1.1.6.27 the indicator that shows silent mode is on (next to the clock when you swipe up on the lockscreen) doesn't show anymore, the phone is in silent mode it just doesn't tell the user about it.
This of course is less then ideal since now the only way to find out what mode I am is is to try and switch modes and read the text...

I had to perform full device reset and go through whole update process again (without any openrepos) and now it is working on lastest fw (1.1.7.24)
I think it's not a bug from sailfish, it's more a issue on your jolla.
I'll close the question, I think it's best to reset your device. You can do before a full backup through the settings.
