Increased battery drain after update to 1.1.6.17

I updated my Jolla a week ago to the latest version 1.1.6.17 and have noticed that the battery drain has increased significantly since the update. I haven't changed the way I use the phone but it seems that the battery only lasts half as long as before the updated.

I suppose it must be a bug. Does anybody have the same experience?

No, I have the opposite experience with 1.1.6.27, the battery consumption is back to the level of pre-1.1.4 where I can load the battery on Friday afternoon and still have ~50% on Monday morning. With 1.1.4 it only lasted 18 hours before the battery was too low and the phone shut down.

There is a btrfs balance job that may drain your battery, you can always disable the service as usually you will not need the balance unless you store a lot on the storage.

no battery drain for me either. I also think it's even better after update.

Installed Aaslakkajärvi yesterday. Had to charge the battery already twice. I feel it has something going on with swapping between 3G and 4G since signals have been poor lately, but no problems pre update.

Same here. It's not unbearably much, but significantly more than before. I would guess, that it's about 20% less runtime than before. Standby is still perfect: I can leave the phone in flight mode and it will loose max 1% per night.

I have this problem too. Went from 100% to 30% in 10 hours and 9 hours was in flight mode!

Usually i could use phone for two days after load and now its less than a day.

I have google play and stuff installed so could they be the problem? But Lighthouse doesn't show any program using more cpu as usual...

After numerous tests with different apps and settings I have narrowed the suspect to modem/radio. In mobile connection I have previously used setting "prefer 4G". Since I live in a house with selective windows and 30cm of concrete the signals in 4G are poor. This causes phone to swap between 3G and 4G constantly. After changing the setting to "prefer 3G" or " only 2G" the battery drain has stopped. Has there been made any changes to modem sw, don't know, but no battery drain pre aaslakkajärvi.

Check what is running out of the ordinary, can be anything! Hung on a database write error, contact sync or something else.
