Hi there!!

I would like to know how many Jolla users are located in Spain.

Next February (22-25) there will be the Movile World Congress at Bcn, so maybe some of us can meet and go there.

I'm located in La Coruña.

Regards to everyone.

I bet there will be some very passionate and rich Sailfish enthusiastists since the Intex Aquafish phone is going to be released there.

at €739 a ticket, I'm not sure many will be going to that. Unless I misunderstand the pricing for 'visitors'.

I looked at going to the last congress in Spain, prices were similar and also, those prices are NOT including VAT/IVA. Yet, the last MWC 2015 had nearly 100,000 attend - so there are some pretty well off folk out there who can afford to get there, stay there, eat, drink and get home again. Something like €1500 would be needed to go to a this MWC - wow!, I'd prefer to go on holiday somewhere nice for that kind of cash, but with those prices, it makes it simply unaffordable for most.

Another spaniard here, from Barcelona :D

P.D: there is an international Jolla Telegram group. Maybe a good idea is to make a telegram group for Jolla spanish users.

Hi there! I'm a Jolla user, waiting also for my tablet. I'm from Valencia and I was living some years near Barcelona city and owing to the high prices I've never afforded to go to the MWC. Talking of the Intex Aqua Fish @jollailija I've seen the specs are quite mediocre, is not a big improvement of the first Jolla phone, thus I won't change my First One for that one. Best regards.

@vicentpavelNo no no no! We have not seen the specs yet! The specs circling around are rumors and/or the specs of the referencedevice! Don't judge the specs before you see them!

@jollailija what about this announcement http://smartphones.specout.com/l/3921/Intex-Aqua-Fish

vicentpavel ( 2016-01-13 00:37:31 +0300 )edit

@vicentpavel See that video? Those are the specs of the reference device.

jollailija ( 2016-01-13 08:17:05 +0300 )edit

@jollailija I said nothing about any video. But if you go deeper in the specs you'll find out the specs are diferent from the Jolla phone, such as the internal memory in the Intex model is 8GB, the microSD up to 32GB, the bluetooth is 4.1 and my Jolla phone has 16GB of internal memory, 64GB microSD and 4.0 bluetooth, in fact bluetooth 4.1 was released after the production of the Jolla phone. I'd like to be wrong and hope that Intex will release a very modern device, if it will happen I'll buy that phone, otherwise I'll stay with my First One.

I mean the video at the page you linked. It's about the reference device, so are the specs. Nothing official has been announced or leaked about the real device, except for the chipset (Snapdragon 2xx, 6xx or 8xx)
Read this article which tells us all we know so far:
About the specs, a lot of false information is out there in the web.

I'm a Jolla owner from Spain too, and from A Coruña also. And while Jolla phone is not my primary phone anymore (I have a Blackberry Z10 and are very satisfied with it) I still keep coming back here and TMO to see what's going on since I'm a longtime Maemo user and love the community and the guys i met here.

Another Spaniard here also from the north (Cantabria).

Unfortunately I'm not able to go the the MWC, but I thin it's a great idea to maintain users from the same country in touch :)

Another one from Bilbao, left the Jolla for secondary use a few months ago, but still very interested in a sailfish powered phone with good hardware.
