Contacts should cache avatars loaded from url

I imported contacts from vcf file, where photos were specified by url. Contacts loaded them correctly. Problem is that those urls were on local (temporary) server. When I stopped the server, photos disappeared. IMHO they should be cached locally and not loaded every time.
Not the exact same problem, but also Google sync is suffering from a side effect of the same bug; constantly fetching avatars will hit a retrieval limit at Google, as explained here: https://together.jolla.com/question/1097/bug-transparent-avatar-from-google-contacts-sync/
