Short description of the app? I have no idea what this app is about, but if I had to guess, I would say it has something to do with TV-series?

Hi @Joone, one can't come back from the series details page/season page with a gesture. One has to push the sub page dot. Perhaps you can make the season page a sub page to the page with the details. The series details page would show a second dot on the right side then... to indicate that there is more to find - like the inbox page of the mail program.

Hi @shining ! That is actually a very good idea since that would solve also other problem that I have with the series/seasons view, thanks! :) I will try this out.

Are you using any platform for working on translations, e.g. transifex?

very good app...some suggestions :)

1 display the my series page if no shows are airing 2 dispay a thumbnail when shows are airing...the page will look less empty that way 3 would be nice if we could have some sort of interaction between users...for example a rating system or even a comment system...that would be freaking awesome...

  1. Might be doable and also it could be toggleable via settings.

  2. What do you mean by showing a thumbnail? In the start page ?

  3. Can you give me an example in which page you would like to use these features, these sound very interesting! :) A rating system for series between sailseries users would be kind of fun and nice :D

Thank you for suggestions and for using the app! I have a new update coming but it needs still some testing since I found some bugs.

what i'm talking about is something more like seriesfinale is doing...like this... https://s14.postimg.org/qx6xzni8x/Schermata_20161115_002.png ...to me it's more good looking than that https://s14.postimg.org/ah32tnyg1/Schermata_20161115_001.png

for the third point...i don't know...maybe similar to what the togheter site is doing...you could open the page for a series and other than the episode list and a brief explanation of the series would be nice to have a page where users can comment (like here or like the store way) and maybe give it a rating (eg 1 to 5 or stars like lot others do) would be nice so users will know what to watch and what not...

i'll add anyway some other points that (imo) could make the app better

  1. i'm not always connected to the internet so often when i enter a show there are no images for it resulting in a quite empty page...would be nice if sailseries could cache data so that is available even when offline (with the ability to delete cached data obviosly)

  2. some series differentiate from season to season...would be nice to have a brief description for the season like it's already done for the entire show...

  3. would be nice to have a sailfish icon (i'm asking too much i know :p )

other than that it's a very good app :)

Hi Joone!

Your app is great! I use it almost daily and the last update is pretty cool! This post is a good idea, maybe you'll get some helps from the community to continue improving it.

I have a suggestion. That concerns the "refreshing" of "my series". It is a pity that one has to refresh each tv-show manually, especially during summer break. If you don't refresh it regurlarly, you may miss one update. To answer that, I suggest 3 possibilities, you'll tell which one is the easiest, and maybe the community will be able to help too: 1) do a "refresh all" for all "my series" automatically when the app starts 2) Automatically refresh a serie when its dedicated page 3) add the option "refresh all" in the "my series" page

Maybe the difficulty would be to handle the case when the phone is not connected to the network. Another possible issue would be a long refresh time for the people who have a lot of series with a lot of seasons?

Anyway, cool app, keep up the good work!

Hi, thanks for your support! :)

The update all series (or some variant) is definitely a must-do and I will look into that.

refresh every show on app startup is a nogo, though! A manual refresh should be enough and the tvdb servers will thank you.

Yes that is very true. :)
