Strange Problem in Mobile Network

Hi

I have purchased Intex Aqua Fish just 7 days back. For last 2-3 days I am getting a strange problem.

The mobile network automatically changing from 4G to 2G and I am getting problem making calls and receiving calls. After restarting the mobile I am again getting back 4G and then I am not facing any problem.

I also tested my SIM with other android phone and in that case the network problem seems to be not happening.

Please help as I only have 2 days left to return the phone.

4g is a data only connection. Voice and message calls are only on 3G or 2G. If you have a poor 3G signal it will step down to 2G. It looks like you are in a area where the company providing your service has a weak signal. Try SIMs from other operators and try using them in areas where the radio signal is known to be good.

Install SIM Scout and that will provide you with a good indication of your connection quality to your local mast. It is a good diagnostic tool.

@richardski I am facing a similar issue on my Aqua fish since last 3-4 days. It would show as if I have a 3G or 2G connection, yet I cant receive or make calls/ no data connection as well "Problem with connection" error for turning on data. I either swith off and switch on the mobile or disable the sim card and enable it again.

But I am confused, If it shows as registered with the operator and yet I can't make or receive calls (Also issue with the data connection) what could be the issue here.

SIM Scout, I was unable to find it. Can you tell me links or leads to the app. Highly appreciate your reply.

Hi Thanks for the comment. I have seen that when I am using the other phone which is only 3G enabled, the signal strength is quite good stable and the network status is not changing.

However at the same time while I am finding the problem in Aquafish I am seeing when it is getting 4G signal the signal strength is quite good and high but the moment it is switching to 2G automatically the signal strength is dropping down or lowest.

When I am changing the settings in my AquaFish to 3G Preferred only then the Signal strength showing low also.

I'm having similar issue but as I use Jio, it drops 4G data connection and gets connected immediately.

@skaich i have a problem where with tmobile data only sim i got 4G but when i added a second sim with voice and txt 2G and moved the tmobile sim to the second slot, i was not able to reestablish 4G afte switching the SIM and deactivating the voice SIM.

Now the Aquafish only connects to the TMobile 2G network, whether i select 2G, 3G or 4G preferred, restart, switching airplane.mode on/off, mobile data on/off, did nothing to correct the issue.

Instead of shutting down, you might be able to achieve the same result by enabling and disabling offline mode.

Did you try if the problem also occurs if you switch your mobile settings to '3G preferred' or '2G only'?

I've had similar problems using different phones/different brands on weak network conditions / in large buildings or while my network provider was working on his network. Forcing the network mode in mobile settings to 3G/2G helped.

I dont know whether signal depends also phone models.

Hi I have observed another point in this problem. Whenever I am switiching on the Wireless Network then Call quality drops and also Mobile Network signal strength changes and moves from 4G to 2G sometimes.

If anyone can put some lights on it they can feel free to do so as I really need to know the reason and to get any remediation if exists

Probably these are related, or even the same issues, although most of them mention only mobile data connectivity issues to me the issue which starts with mobile data connectivity several times ended in breaking all GSM connection.
