I have tried several times to install "Sailfish Utilities" on my Turing Phone but every time it fails and store says "Ongelma kaupassa, asennus epäonnistui" (Problem with store, installation failed). Is Sailfish Utilities supported on Turing Phone?

oh you've made the first thread for the turing phone...
Just by curiosity, which sfos version you have on it?

Just to add from my issues with the Turing phone, developer mode wont enable (error: problem with installing jolla-developer-mode), several other apps wont install(like YTplayer) and in reference to what juiceme suggested, "pkcon refresh" errors out with "Authentication failed (is SSU set up correctly?)"

@misc11 :) and he has an other one. right... not so far from each other. i was curious if it was the same or a different one, or a completely different one. nevermind, the pkcon result will be interesting.

It should be possible to install to Turing devices too, because it works on sbj1, Jolla tablet and model-C. Nothing special in turing that'd make it fail.

You probably have something mixed up in the store. Have you been able to install everything else normally? You might want to do "pkcon refresh" on console.

are you sure nothing different ?
I have no idea on the stuff, but i have in mind that TP is made for having secured communications and i don't know what else as secured.
I don’t understand currently why it has no difference with the others.
If you could give more details on what you told, please. i'll be glad

cemoi71 ( 2016-10-18 22:56:36 +0200 )edit

Pretty sure. The security features in TP are pretty much bullcrap :)

Dear Turing Phone users - could you do a favour?

Could you install Aida from the Jolla App store and add the info from that app by editing this wiki page: https://together.jolla.com/question/136143/wiki-available-devices-running-sailfish-os/?answer=147873#post-id-147873

would be great as we are collecting general Info about Phones running Sailfish there. Thanks a lot.

OK, sevaral other Turing Phone owners report that Sailfish Utilities and some other Jolla Store apps (like YTplayer and Nettiradio) can not currently install on Turing Phone, i assume that it is current OS related problem.

Is your device in release mode? Try executing ssu re 2.0.3.14 (or whatever the latest version is available for turing)

ssu re 2.0.3.16 puts device in release mode

pkcon refresh returns fatal error: Failed to obtain authentication

Any other ideas to install developer mode?
