How many Aqua Fishes are out there?
Anyone have any idea how many were sold / produced?
The word on the street is that they're not making any more of them. The intex site even links to an ebayer who has run out of them, Amazon india doesn't have them anymore.
You can still buy it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intex-Aqua-Fish-Unlocked-Dual-Sim-5inch-1-3Ghz-16GB-8MP-4G-2500mah-Sailfish-OS-/322197286498?hash=item4b04746e62:g:aBgAAOSwsTxXjcSv
SKyd3R ( 2016-11-07 21:11:16 +0200 )editThere are still some sellers but they're going by the fistful now rather than by the bucketload. I'd be expecting a few more of those guys to run out of them before or shortly after the Christmas

A reason I could think of is that many customers were not satisfied (around 1/3 one star reviews on amazon.in *) e.g.) mainly because they expected ALL android features to work. Just speculating - but maybe many handsets were returned which means costs and trouble for the seller.
*) on the other hand almost as many 5 star reviews.
LameDuck ( 2016-11-08 18:07:08 +0200 )editIts difficult to say; we do not know what the intention with these 20K's were in the first place. Might be that they would continue even if only few of them were sold, or the opposite might be true, that even for 20K sold it might have been "just" an experiment and nothing else will come from it. As we do not know Intex'es intentions, its impossible to really say.
All I can say, is that I have seen better download rates on my apps in harbour since the aqua fish has been on sale, which is encouraging.
