Just received notification that I can now update to 2.0.4.14. Hurray!

I have installed some apps from Warehouse. As far as I have read, I need to disable those apps. How do I do that?

Where did you read that? It's not true since Spring 2014...

reverting all installed patches you installed from warehouse is advised by jolla as stated here under "updating your device"

that does not mean all apps

Why would you do a factory reset just for the update? It is not really necessary. Since around SFOS version 10.0.5, the extra repos will be disabled before the update anyway.

No need to hard reset, just disabling Warehouse apps is fine.

i did the hard reset just to be sure :P I didn't want to end up with a bricked aqua fish, and then blame myself for not doing a simple reset and removing all traces of warehouse apps. BTW thanks for the info Venty :) probably wont be needing a reset next update onwards :D

Were you to "brick" it with the update you'd still be able to factory reset, so really no need to worry :) Also, as stated above, there's no need to remove warehouse apps, only disable the patchmanager patches if you use any, and even if you forget to do that it's not the end of the world, it's just annoying to apply them again.

with latest patchmanager, all patches unapplied automatically...
