Touchscreen not responding

I dropped my Jolla Phone onto a hard floor, glass down. The glass didn't crack from the drop, although the glass already had a small crack near the bottom-left corner. After I picked the phone up, and noticed that the screen had stopped responding to any input. Before dropping the phone, it worked fine.
I can boot up the phone, but I can't unlock it. I can lock and unlock it and change the volume, so the system is not frozen up.
Is there anything else I can try to do than trying to do a factory reset? There is a certain memo I would like to try to recover, and of course I haven't made a back-up of that. It's not a matter of life and death, so if it turns out there is nothing left to do than factory reset, I am willing to try that too.
