When adding an account but you do not sync the email or the account is disabled it keeps on showing in the email app. And it also uses the account credentials as default account when sending emails from the sharing options. I think this is not logic. I use a private email account and use my calender from my work exchange account.

I know the last added account is used as default. As you are not able to select an account from the calender app when entering an event and again it uses the last added account as default.

What type of account ? When I disable on account it immediately disappears from email app, but for Exchange I notice that if I only disable the "Email" service it still shows in email app, is that your problem ?

No it is not disabled, It is just there only for f.i. Agenda, not syncing or using the mail of that account. But despite me not syncing the mail of a account it stills shows in the email app ass an icon on the start screen and it is also available as send option when you want to share something

The same goes for calendars. Disabling the calendar sync does not remove the calendar from calendar application.
