Trying to connect a bluetooth headset to the Xperia, fails if the phone is in sleep mode (screen off for some time).

If the Xperia is in sleep mode, the headset times out trying to connect.

If I wake up the Xperia by pressing the power button, while the headset is trying to connect, the headset connects immediately.

I have tried with three different headsets (TRIPROC BH-M9, Philips SHB4000, Bluedio TF500), all with the same result

I am using sailfishx 2.1.3.7, with bluetooth visibility off.

I have a similar issue with my car infotainment system (Volvo Sensus MY13). I can select a number using the car infotainment system, but it won't start to dial before I tap on the screen to wake up the phone.

After testing on 2.1.4.14, I believe the problem has been solved, I haven't been able to provoke the problem since the upgrade.

For me it's still there with 2.1.4.14.

I've found this problem to be much worse since the latest update on my Xperia X. It used to connect ok before even with the screen in sleep mode, now it won't connect until I wake the phone up.

Also it's always been very slow to establish a connection when a call is made using the Bluetooth car kit, it seems much worse since the latest update.

I have made some further tests, and have found that the phone almost always connects ... if my cover (Mercury Goospery Canvas Diary Wallet) is open, but seldom connects when it is closed.

Often when I turn on the Bluetooth device, and opens my cover, the phone immediately connects, even though I doesn't wake it up.

This cover is fairly new, so it wasn't involved in the original problem.
