I'm syncing email from the Exchange server at work and an IMAP account, neither of these play any notification sounds when new mail arrives, what can be the problem?

In fact, no notification of mail shows at all, when i go into the mail app it shows the new mails as unread, but i have no idea that they have arrived prior to that.

I have a mail notification tone choosen.

What SW are you running ? Do you see a email icon in the homescreen or in the events view ?

Hello. After more consideration this seems to correspond to the same promlem as this thread: https://together.jolla.com/question/500/bug-e-mail-syncronisation-does-not-work-as-configured/

Any time plan for a fix?

Ofc, but this is a problem related to suspend and wakeup, nothing to do with email directly, so needs proper testing that takes time.

Closing as duplicate then.

@VDVsx My e-mail notifications just disappeared - no sound, no blinking LED, no record at notification screen. When I go to Mail application - there are new mails received and waiting to be read. Never happened before. I am pretty sure that reboot will solve it, but I want to pinpoint the cause and this bug to be fixed. I use 1xExchange and 2xIMAP accounts(push enabled)

PS. I will reopen the question, as it really describes what I am experiencing.

Most probably a issue in the notifications system that was fixed internally some time ago already, email MW fires notifications at same time messages arrive, then is up to the notifications system to do the rest.
